How to make Valentine Gum Drops
Valentine’s Day is fast approaching! That means it’s time to show some love and appreciation to our valentines. Sweet treats are a great way of showing appreciation. However, I find that sweet treats can also be appreciated. Make your own Treats are extra special
Today, I will show you how simple and fun these gum drop recipes are. Have your kids help you cut out the shapes. This set includes heart shaped cookie cutters You can choose from a range of sizes, but any small-sized cookie maker will work.
Valentine Gum Drops
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 1/2 cups unsweetened Applesauce
- 2 1/4 cups Sugar
- 2 boxes (3 oz) Strawberry Jell-O
- 2 envelopes Unflavored Gelatin {like Knox}
DIRECTIONS:
- Spray a 9×13 baking pan with non-stick spray.
- Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan and heat on the stove.
- Bring to boil on medium heat. Stir constantly.
- Boil for one second.
- Put the mixture in a bowl and let cool in the refrigerator until firm.
- Sugar a cuttingboard
- Use a spatula or a knife to loosen the sides.
- Sprinkle sugar over the Jell O.
- Cut gum drops using a cookie cutter in the shape of a heart.
- For 1 hour, brush the edges with sugar.
