1. Commemorating the 22nd anniversary since 9/11 terrorist attacks

Twenty-two year after the 9/11 terrorist attack, the number first responders that have died due to health complications has now reached a level close to the number who died in the attack.

In a post on Facebook, the Uniformed Firefighters Association stated that since the September 11th tragedy “341 FDNY Members have died of rare cancers and illnesses caused by the toxic Dust at Ground Zero.”

FDNY announced that 43 names were added to the memorial in the World Trade Center last week for those who died of 9/11-related illnesses. The names of firefighters, paramedics and EMTs were added.

2. Searching for earthquake victims is underway in Morocco

One thousand and four hundred people are critically injured after an earthquake of 6.8 magnitude struck the Moroccan High Atlas Mountains.

The earthquake struck southwest of Marrakech late Friday night. On Monday, both international and domestic aid teams were still looking for survivors in remote mountain areas.
